Case study · Client · Interior design
A quiet, photo-first portfolio for an interior designer who restores classic homes, with projects told room by room and a consultation form that qualifies every inquiry.
The brief
Larisa restores and modernizes classic homes in Los Angeles and Portland. Her work speaks through photography: Spanish-style houses, warm wood, plaster and light. The site needed to step back and let those images carry it.
It also had to bring in the right clients. She takes on full-service projects in her two cities and virtual design anywhere, so every inquiry needed to arrive with the details that tell her whether a project is a fit before the first call.
What I built
A fine, high-contrast serif with wide-spaced small capitals, a warm off-white background and full-bleed photography. Nothing on the page competes with the rooms.
Each project opens on one full-screen photograph and a short story, then walks through the house: entry, living room, kitchen, primary suite. A sticky index lists the rooms and jumps straight to each, with the location and a consultation link alongside.
Three short sections: the essentials, the project (construction budget, timeframe, city and state) and inspiration, with room for a Pinterest board and why they want a designer. Larisa sees scope and budget before she replies.
Inquiries choose between full-service design in Portland and Los Angeles or virtual design anywhere, so the site works for clients far beyond her two cities.
